LONDON - CASIO is proud to announce the U.K. launch of Moflin. This palm-sized smart companion 
uses advanced emotional artificial intelligence to build a unique bond with their owner. Pre-orders are 
available now via the CASIO UK Online Store.  

As awareness of mental wellbeing grows on a global level, so does the demand for supportive 
technologies. The market for emotionally supportive AI is projected to grow from approximately £666 
million in 2022 to £3.2 billion by 2027, based on current exchange rates.¹ In response to this trend, 
Moflin offers a new kind of emotionally responsive experience through daily interaction and care. 

Originally developed through a crowdfunding project with Vanguard Industries using CASIO 
proprietary technology, Moflin generated more than 30 times the expected interest during the initial 
campaign in Japan, highlighting the strong demand for emotionally intelligent companions. Following 
an official launch in Japan last November and overwhelmingly positive feedback, Moflin is now 
preparing to enter the global market. Moflin is far more advanced than a simple toy robot. Thanks to 
Moflin’s sophisticated AI, they can recognise and respond to voices, react to affectionate gestures like 
cuddles or petting, and learn their owner’s preferences over time. Their personality evolves uniquely 
depending on how they are raised, allowing for more than 4 million possible emotional profiles.

After a development period of 50 days, Moflin’s distinctive personality will evolve, as will their 
emotional reactions. Their small squeaks will soon grow to recognisable, heartwarming sounds as 
they mature into a comforting and emotionally reactive companion. The more interaction an owner 
shows to their Moflin, the more Moflin's emotions will develop, gradually shaping their personality. 
With Moflin’s plush exterior and compact size, they’re the perfect companion for children, older adults, 
or anyone in need of a little extra emotional warmth in their life. 

The dedicated MofLife app lets users visualise Moflin’s emotional state via animated displays and 
track interactions through graphs and daily insights. This adds a new layer of depth and emotional 
connection between an owner and their Moflin.
